Senior Transportation Planner

Salary: $108,006–$183,610 per year for full-time employment.

What you will do

• Lead and support transportation planning projects at state, regional, local, and national levels.
• Develop transportation plans, planning studies, technical assistance resources, and related products.
• Manage project and task schedules, budgets, deliverables, and collaboration across staff levels.
• Plan and facilitate workshops, stakeholder outreach, and other engagement activities.
• Pursue new business opportunities with state, regional, and local clients.
• Track industry trends and support senior leadership in positioning hirify.global for long-term growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in urban planning, transportation planning, public policy, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in transit planning, public transportation program administration, long-range transportation planning, or related technical roles.
• Experience working with FTA-funded transit programs and state or regional transit agencies.
• Experience in transit, multimodal, shared mobility, active transportation, transportation network, or emerging mobility planning.
• Experience applying planning and technical tools such as GIS and analyzing transit data, including GTFS.
• Experience preparing transit development plans, mobility plans, or transportation demand management plans.

Nice to have

• Experience with microtransit, vanpool, carpool, employer-based transportation, innovative shuttle services, or bus rapid transit.
• Knowledge of federal transportation funding programs, including transit funding.
