Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States; onsite position with field work at client sites and up to 5% travel

Salary: $125,000–$165,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skills

What you will do

• Manage environmental projects involving engineering, water quality, stormwater management, groundwater, and soil assessment and remediation.
• Conduct field work at client sites and collect groundwater and soil data.
• Lead project research and data collection efforts while managing tasks and project contributors.
• Prepare environmental compliance documents, permits, plans, and procedures.
• Interact with customers and clients and support proposal preparation, client acquisition, and expansion of existing services.
• Follow company safety rules and OSHA regulations, participate in continuous improvement, and maintain current industry knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or related engineering or technical field from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8+ years of environmental engineering experience with industrial, municipal, state, and federal clients.
• Strong oral and written communication, organization, time management, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Ability to follow OSHA regulations and required safety training; travel up to 5% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Petroleum Restoration Program.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
• Experience with petroleum site assessment and remediation.
