Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Location: Denver, Colorado, USA; also located in Colorado Springs and Loveland, Colorado. The position requires operating a company or personal vehicle for business-related travel.

Salary: $100,000–$155,000, depending on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Design and support water and wastewater facilities, including treatment, collection, distribution, and pumping systems.
• Lead engineering tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop scopes of work, project budgets, schedules, and professional service proposals.
• Apply hydraulic engineering principles to water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with municipal clients and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• At least 8 years of experience with water and wastewater facilities.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain Colorado licensure through reciprocity.
• Experience leading engineering tasks and coordinating project teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Nice to have

• Technical lead experience on complex water and wastewater projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience working with municipal clients and regulatory agencies.
• Participation in professional organizations and industry conferences.
