Student Internship - Insurance Claims (InsurTech)

Location: Brussels, Belgium; hybrid work with attendance at the office 2–3 days per week.

What you will do

• Learn and participate in the insurance claims process from first notification of loss through file closure.
• Handle first notifications of loss and partner validation processes.
• Investigate claims and assess validity and coverage according to policy conditions.
• Manage written and phone correspondence with customers and partners in multiple languages.
• Calculate settlements, prepare payments and denial emails, and submit suggested decisions for review by experienced claims handlers.
• Support administrative claims tasks, including reminders, file closure and setting standard reserves.

Requirements

• This is a Belgian BA/MA school internship; enrollment in a local school that permits internships is required.
• Available from September 2026 for at least three months, full-time.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Good communication skills in at least one additional European language, such as French, Dutch or German, are required.
• Studying translation, law, or business and administration.
• Self-motivated, open-minded, curious and flexible, with a can-do attitude.
