Portfolio Credit Risk Manager (Credit Risk)

Location: Bruxelles Avenue Marnix (ING), Brussels, Belgium; full-time onsite role.

What you will do

• Analyse private-individual credit portfolio performance, risks, economic developments, early-warning indicators, and sector vulnerabilities.
• Develop and monitor risk appetite, provide forward-looking perspectives, and inform senior management about significant trends.
• Review production volumes, risk profiles, underwriting, recent vintages, and early performance data to support credit acceptance models and policies.
• Deliver integrated credit risk overviews combining performance data, macroeconomic trends, sector forecasts, process KPIs, and policy compliance.
• Present analyses, conclusions, and recommendations to stakeholders, senior management, and regulatory assurance functions.
• Manage data, define requirements for analytical tools, contribute to automation and visualisation improvements, and support project management, process optimisation, and reporting initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in economics, applied economics, statistics, or a related field.
• Very strong data analysis, analytical, presentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proactive, hands-on, resilient, positive, and constructive approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• Drive to fully understand issues before reaching conclusions.

Nice to have

• Experience with PowerBI and Python for data visualisation.
• Experience with Vortex data.
