ECD Officer (Early Childhood Development)

Location: Ramallah, occupied Palestinian Territory (oPt); travel across the West Bank is required, subject to access and security conditions.

What you will do

• Support implementation and monitoring of early childhood development activities across the West Bank against approved workplans, targets, and technical guidance.
• Conduct field visits, verify progress and data, identify risks and delays, and provide implementation support in emergency and crisis-affected settings.
• Provide technical support and on-the-job coaching to teachers, facilitators, community workers, and implementing partners.
• Support trainings, capacity-strengthening activities, and the contextualization of approved ECD tools, learning materials, and training resources.
• Coordinate with implementing partners, IRC program and operational teams, government entities, local organizations, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare field visit reports, activity updates, indicator tracking information, donor-reporting inputs, success stories, and implementation documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, Early Childhood Development, social sciences, development studies, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in ECD, education, or child-focused programming with an NGO or INGO.
• Knowledge of early childhood development, play-based learning, school readiness, literacy, and numeracy approaches.
• Experience supporting training, coaching, and capacity-strengthening activities for teachers, facilitators, or partner staff.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-engagement skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.
• Good written and spoken English and willingness to travel across the West Bank, subject to access and security conditions.
