Sr. HVAC Technician

Location: Grimes, Iowa, United States. Field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations, with overtime and occasional overnight stays as business needs require.

Hourly base pay: $27.69–$51.49 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform end-to-end testing, programming downloads, startup, commissioning, and servicing for assigned HVAC projects.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment and systems at customer locations.
• Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers to plan installations, repairs, materials, and on-site work.
• Use service software, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain records for company-issued and procured assets.
• Mentor team members and support customer service through flexible field operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or completion certificate from an accredited technical school.
• Typically at least 10 years of HVAC experience; technical school or formal training is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones and iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with an acceptable driving record.
• EPA certification, such as HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer, is preferred.
