What you will do

• Lead Japan investment management operations across Japanese trust bank structures supporting Tokkin and pension accounts.
• Oversee trade lifecycle processes, settlement monitoring, cash flows, subscriptions, redemptions, and cash and collateral management.
• Coordinate operational execution and issue resolution with trust banks, custodians, brokers, vendors, outsourced partners, and global hirify.global teams.
• Lead the implementation of new products, markets, accounts, operational processes, and regulatory or market practice changes.
• Maintain operational controls, manage risk remediation, and support audit, compliance, and regulatory reviews.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Tokyo IMOps team while improving coverage, succession readiness, and operational resilience.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working with Japanese trust banks, custodians, brokers, and outsourced operational service providers preferred.
• Familiarity with Japanese market practices, Tokkin and pension account structures, and regulatory requirements.
• Leadership experience with the ability to develop team capabilities and operational resilience.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to manage complex operational activities, exercise sound judgment, and develop practical solutions under ambiguity.
• Experience supporting process improvements, operational initiatives, and regulatory or market practice changes preferred.
