Global Banking & Markets - Trade Processing, Analyst, Tokyo

Location: Minato-Ku, Tokyo, Japan; the role supports the Asian time zone and an Asia client base.

What you will do

• Pre-match urgent trades and provide operational support to the STIR desk and other Operations teams.
• Support collateral management, daily mark-to-market activities, and account maintenance.
• Respond to urgent enquiries from clients, counterparties, traders, and internal teams.
• Analyze and resolve exceptions, unmatched trades, and failing trades while escalating issues appropriately.
• Support inventory management to improve settlement rates, increase liquidity, and reduce funding costs.
• Maintain regulatory and internal policy compliance, protect segregated client assets, and improve processes to reduce risk and increase scalability.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in repo, fixed income settlement, or stock lending.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of trade processing and settlement operations.
• Strong communication, teamwork, ownership, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, self-motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
• Excellent English communication skills required.

• Exposure to fixed income products or prior settlements experience.
• Japanese language skills.
