Senior Systems Engineer / Solutions Architect (Azure)

What you will do

• Lead technical assessments and translate business requirements into secure, scalable infrastructure designs.
• Design and implement solutions across Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Autopilot, compliance and conditional access policies, and application packaging.
• Redesign and optimize networks, including firewalls, switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, and Layer 2/3 infrastructure; troubleshoot loops and configure HP and Dell switching environments.
• Administer Windows Server, Office 365, Azure services, virtualization platforms, servers, and workstations, with a focus on reliability and security.
• Create detailed SOWs, scopes, architecture and deployment documentation; review sales proposals and coordinate account managers, project managers, and clients.
• Own Level 3+ escalations, perform root-cause analysis and long-term remediation, mentor junior and mid-level technicians, and improve cloud security, automation, monitoring, and MSP tooling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a managed service provider or high-volume IT support environment.
• Strong experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration and security experience.
• Experience with Azure infrastructure and virtual networks; AZ-104 or higher is preferred.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and AVD virtualization tools.
• Networking experience across Layer 2/3, VPNs, firewalls, SonicWall, Meraki, and related environments.
• Scripting and automation experience, preferably with PowerShell.
• Strong documentation habits and familiarity with ConnectWise.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical users.

Nice to have

• AZ-305, CCNA, CCNP, or cybersecurity-related certifications.
