TL;DR
Senior Systems Engineer (Azure): Designing and implementing secure, scalable infrastructure solutions across Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, networking, and server environments with an accent on cloud architecture, advanced troubleshooting, and client-focused solution design. Focus on resolving Level 3+ escalations, hardening systems, optimizing networks, documenting architectures, and mentoring technical teams.
Location: Remote in the United States; listed location is Austin, Texas.

What you will do
- Lead technical assessments and translate business needs into secure, scalable infrastructure designs.
- Design and implement Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Autopilot, compliance, conditional access, and application packaging solutions.
- Redesign and optimize networks involving firewalls, switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, and Layer 2/3 infrastructure.
- Administer Windows Server, Office 365, Azure services, virtualization platforms, workstations, and servers.
- Own complex Level 3+ escalations, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver long-term remediation.
- Create SOWs and technical documentation, collaborate with sales, account managers, project managers, and clients, and mentor junior and mid-level technicians.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an MSP or high-volume IT support environment.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Microsoft 365 administration and security, and Azure infrastructure.
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, AVD, networking, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and advanced troubleshooting.
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience, strong documentation habits, and familiarity with ConnectWise.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical users.
Nice to have
- AZ-104 or higher, AZ-305, CCNA, CCNP, or cybersecurity-related certifications.
- Experience with SonicWall, Fortinet, Meraki, HP, or Dell networking environments.
