Cloud Architect

What you will do

• Architect enterprise applications and services across AWS, Microsoft Azure, hybrid-cloud, and DHS-hosted environments.
• Develop target and reference architectures, solution designs, diagrams, and technical roadmaps.
• Lead technical discovery and translate business requirements into scalable architectures.
• Define architectures for identity, secrets, vulnerability scanning, monitoring, containers, automation, data protection, networking, and application security.
• Architect integrations across applications, APIs, databases, cloud services, identity platforms, and enterprise services.
• Support cloud migrations, architecture reviews, capacity planning, and presentations to senior government stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Microsoft Certified Professional Certification.
• 7+ years of experience designing, analyzing, and implementing information systems architecture.
• Hands-on architecture experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure, including cloud or hybrid-cloud enterprise solutions.
• Strong knowledge of application architecture, networking, identity, databases, security, and systems integration.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a U.S. DHS Public Trust suitability determination.

Nice to have

• AWS architecture certification and current Microsoft Azure architecture certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Office 365, SharePoint Online, ServiceNow, GitLab, and Terraform.
• DevSecOps, CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration experience.
• Experience with federal cloud security and compliance frameworks, including NIST 800-53, DHS 4300A, FISMA, FedRAMP, and Section 508.
