Staff Environmental Professional

Location: In-office in Alameda, West Sacramento, or San Jose, California, USA

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Conduct site reconnaissance, soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling, borehole logging, monitoring well installation, and air monitoring.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and vendors during environmental field activities.
• Prepare daily field reports, project documents, and environmental reports.
• Compile data and review historical information and environmental databases.
• Coordinate interviews and discussions with site owners and users by phone and email.
• Manage project tasks and task budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Current OSHA HAZWOPER training.
• Experience with environmental fieldwork, office-based project tasks, and project documentation.
• Familiarity with ASTM E1527-21 and ASTM E1903-11 standards.
• Strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
