What you will do

• Monitor compliance through inspections, audits, regulatory reporting, and engagement with regulatory agencies.
• Act as a primary responder for chemical spills, leaks, and hazardous materials incidents using appropriate PPE.
• Lead incident investigations to determine causal factors and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee waste generation, recycling, and disposal activities, including RCRA hazardous waste shipments.
• Conduct safety briefings and training for facility staff and manage computer-based training.
• Manage site security programs, including fence and lighting inspections and protocol compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of work experience in manufacturing or industrial environmental systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 management program requirements.
• Required certifications: 40-Hour HAZWOPER, DOT Hazardous Materials Shipping, and RCRA Hazardous Waste Management.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and wear a respirator and full-body protective gear for extended periods.
• Ability to become certified to drive a forklift.
