Senior Legal Counsel

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine; hybrid work

What you will do

• Identify consumer protection, data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory risks across the USA, EU, and UK.
• Develop practical legal solutions that protect business interests and support commercial objectives.
• Partner with marketing, product, engineering, and finance teams to implement compliance programs and guide decision-making.
• Build and improve legal processes for proactive risk management.
• Support regulatory investigations and dispute resolution.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and turn them into guidance, training, and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a top-tier local or international law firm, Big 4, product company, or technology company.
• Law degree from a Ukrainian or foreign university.
• Fluent English required.
• Practical, business-oriented approach with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial objectives.
• Creative problem-solving, strong organization, initiative, and results orientation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Expertise in US and EU consumer protection laws, including the FTC Act, ROSCA, and the Omnibus Directive.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection frameworks.
• Experience advising companies on commercial, compliance, and intellectual property matters throughout the business lifecycle.
• Practical knowledge and use cases of AI tools.
