Head of Legal&GR (Government Relations)

What you will do

• Build and lead the Government Relations, public affairs, and regulatory strategy in line with business priorities.
• Monitor legislative, regulatory, political, and market developments and advocate relevant policy initiatives.
• Represent the business before government authorities, regulators, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
• Lead the legal function and advise the CEO, leadership team, and business functions on commercial and strategic matters.
• Provide legal support for SaaS, cloud services, licensing, procurement, outsourcing, partnerships, cross-border arrangements, M&A, and restructuring.
• Manage legal, regulatory, compliance, governance, disputes, investigations, external counsel, budgets, and the Legal and GR teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Law.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience, including 3–5 years in a senior legal or leadership role.
• Strong Government Relations, regulatory affairs, public policy, and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Understanding of Ukrainian legislative and regulatory processes and experience in regulated industries.
• Expertise in corporate and commercial law, corporate governance, compliance, complex contracting, and technology-related agreements.
• Fluent Ukrainian and English, including professional legal drafting and negotiation skills.

Nice to have

• Additional education in business, economics, public policy, or a related field.
• Background in technology, IT, telecommunications, digital services, finance, or energy.
• Experience with data protection, cybersecurity, complex negotiations, disputes, and cross-functional strategic projects.
