Equipment Engineer (m/w/d) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Own, support, optimize, and further develop production equipment in the EGIO area: epitaxy, glass processes, implantation, and furnaces.
• Maintain equipment availability and process stability while reducing unplanned downtime.
• Analyze equipment and process data, perform statistical analysis and root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and participate in improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and retrofit programs.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with internal teams, manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers.
• Support production escalations, technical training, audits, and documentation of engineering changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, microsystems, process engineering, physics, materials science, or a comparable technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a comparable high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Practical experience in at least one EGIO responsibility area and a strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of SPC, FDC, APC, data analytics, MES, and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with vacuum technology, high-temperature processes, gas delivery systems, cleanrooms, technical drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken, are required.
