Lab Technician (Fusion Manufacturing)

Location: Gundremmingen, Günzburg, Germany; the role is based in a laboratory and workshop environment.

hirify.global is a deep-tech fusion company developing stellarator machines, superconducting magnet technology, and the infrastructure for a commercial fusion power plant.

What you will do

• Build and test mechanical and electromechanical prototypes from early-stage design concepts.
• Carry out rapid prototyping, mechanical assembly trials, and incoming goods inspections.
• Develop fixtures, test setups, and scalable assembly processes with engineers.
• Operate milling machines, lathes, and test stands.
• Maintain workshop processes, tools, inventory, calibration, PPE, and safe working practices.
• Keep the laboratory and workshop clean, structured, and efficient while preparing prototypes for production.

Requirements

• Technical background through vocational training or a technical college or university degree.
• Experience with machining, wiring, assembly, and test stand technology.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, proactive, communicative, and safety-conscious working style.
• Excellent German and English language skills are required.
