Experienced Field Application Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Munich, Germany; up to 20% travel, primarily within Europe with some intercontinental travel.

What you will do

• Engage with customers to understand technical requirements for semiconductor IC product development.
• Assess the competitive landscape and advocate effective hirify.global technology value propositions.
• Work with account managers, product marketing, and technical experts to create application-specific presentations and proposals.
• Combine technical and commercial requirements into design-winning solutions.
• Identify and resolve issues from design win through production-ready design and tapeout.
• Advocate internally for improved features and capabilities where competitive gaps exist.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent discipline such as applied physics.
• At least 15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including design and/or process experience.
• Working knowledge of IC chip design flows and tools from architectural definition through performance characterization.
• Technical program management, problem-solving, ownership, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
• Fluent written and verbal English is required.

Nice to have

• PhD in electrical engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• At least five years of semiconductor product design experience at chip or module level.
• Industrial and automotive segment experience.
• Experience with digital, analog mixed-signal, HV power, eNVM, millimetre-wave, silicon photonics, or SoC product design and integration.
• Project management, planning, organizational, and ambiguity-navigation skills.
