What you will do

  • Execute in vivo preclinical disease models, primarily using mice and possibly rats, in the vivarium.
  • Provide technical support for dosing, sample and tissue collection, health checks, study setup, and takedown.
  • Work with Scientists and Senior Scientists to execute and help design experiments.
  • Run concurrent studies while maintaining organization, accurate records, and study timelines.
  • Support in vitro assays and communicate results to the immediate team.
  • Participate in weekend and evening dosing rotations as needed while following protocols and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and 1 year of Immunology or related experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of Immunology or related experience.
  • Strong understanding of Immunology and Inflammation biology and demonstrated experience with pharmacology and in vivo inflammation or immunology models.
  • Significant experience designing and executing concurrent in vivo preclinical inflammation and autoimmune disease models.
  • Hands-on experience with in vivo dosing, administration routes, bleeds, necropsy, organ collection, cardiac bleed, and lung BAL collection.
  • Hands-on experience with multicolor flow cytometry, including spectral flow approaches and immune-cell populations, is essential.
  • Experience with cellular, biochemical, histological, and molecular biology assays, along with proficiency in GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice to have

  • Experience with colitis, lupus, arthritis, or GvHD models.
  • Experience in asthma, COPD, HS, or PBC research.
  • Track record of independent critical thinking, scientific achievement, and productivity.
