Associate Scientist, In vivo Pharmacology, Inflammation

What you will do

• Execute in vivo preclinical disease models, primarily using mice and potentially rats, in the vivarium.
• Provide technical support for dosing, sample and tissue collection, health checks, study setup, and study closeout.
• Work with Scientists and Senior Scientists to execute and help design experiments.
• Run concurrent studies while maintaining accurate records and meeting study timelines.
• Support in vitro assays and communicate results to the immediate team.
• Participate in weekend and evening dosing rotations as needed.

Requirements

• Master’s degree plus 1 year of Immunology or related experience, or Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Immunology or related experience.
• Strong understanding of Immunology and Inflammation biology.
• Significant experience designing and executing in vivo preclinical inflammation or autoimmune disease models.
• Hands-on experience with in vivo dosing, bleeds, necropsy, organ collection, cardiac bleeds, and lung BAL collection.
• Essential: hands-on experience with multicolor flow cytometry, including spectral flow approaches and immune cell populations.
• Strong organization, communication, critical-thinking, record-keeping, and data-analysis skills, with proficiency in GraphPad Prism and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with colitis, lupus, arthritis, or GvHD models.
• Experience with asthma, COPD, HS, or PBC models.
• Hands-on experience with cellular, biochemical, histological, and molecular biology assays such as ELISA, MSD, quantitative RT-PCR, and BCA protein measurements.
