System Engineering Manager (M1) (Enterprise Infrastructure)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work with attendance at the Berlin campus 2 days a week. Relocation support to Berlin is available.

What you will do

• Lead the Server/Cloud Infrastructure and Network Infrastructure squads as technical owner and people leader.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, 1:1s, feedback, performance, and career growth across both teams.
• Translate stakeholder needs from IT, Security, and Workplace Experience into roadmaps and priorities.
• Oversee delivery, cross-team dependencies, reliability metrics, incident response, and SLA-bound vulnerability remediation.
• Guide architecture and operational excellence across on-premises, cloud, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, firewalls, and multi-vendor infrastructure.
• Drive safe, policy-compliant AI adoption for configuration generation, automation, troubleshooting, and operational improvement.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or network engineering, including 1–3 years in people management or technical leadership.
• Working knowledge of on-premises and cloud server infrastructure, including compute, storage, virtualization, and major cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of enterprise networking, including switching, routing, wireless, SD-WAN, and firewalls.
• Experience with multi-vendor environments such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Extreme Networks, Arista, Aruba, and major cloud platforms.
• Experience with structured change control, technical impact assessments, rollback procedures, security fundamentals, and vulnerability remediation.
• Track record of effective people leadership, hiring, performance reviews, 1:1s, team structure, and growth planning.

Nice to have

• CCNP, PCNSE, AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent cloud and infrastructure certifications.
