Engineering Manager - Developer Experience (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Define and lead a new platform engineering team focused on Developer Experience.
• Build and maintain golden paths, deployment templates, CI/CD patterns, production-readiness checklists, and onboarding flows.
• Develop self-service environment provisioning and a Service Registry as the source of truth for services running on Kubernetes.
• Standardize AI-assisted development tooling, including Claude Code, Cursor, and the company AI harness.
• Track developer satisfaction metrics such as golden-path adoption, deployment lead time, and time to first deployment.
• Hire the founding team and establish its culture, technical standards, and roadmap.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience with Python and 2+ years in leadership or management.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, internal developer portals, golden paths, Helm, Kubernetes admission webhooks, and GitHub Actions.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes platforms, including cluster APIs, namespaces, RBAC, admission control, and deployment patterns.
• Experience building internal tools with a product mindset and hiring engineers for a new team.
• Security-first engineering experience, including shift-left practices; experience with PCI DSS or SOC2 environments is advantageous.
• Fluent English is required; familiarity with Java, Kotlin, JVM stack traces, and build logs is useful.
