Engineering Manager (Platform/AWS)

A European fintech building API-first B2B payment infrastructure, embedded finance, and white-label corporate card solutions for businesses and financial software providers.

What you will do

• Own the roadmap for Terraform infrastructure, multi-account AWS, IAM, and networking foundations.
• Run Platform Core as an internal product for engineering teams, improving Spacelift guardrails, sensitive-resource checks, and tagging policies.
• Partner with Security Engineering to embed access controls and compliance requirements into the platform.
• Lead the migration of compute workloads from ECS/Fargate to Kubernetes.
• Manage, hire, and develop engineers through regular 1:1s and performance development.
• Coordinate with SRE and other platform functions as the organization expands.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of software or infrastructure engineering experience, including at least 3 years of direct engineering management.
• Production experience with Terraform, multi-account AWS, and container or serverless compute at scale.
• Experience operating infrastructure as an internal platform with rigorous incident and change management.
• Track record of hiring, developing, leveling, and promoting engineers.
• Datadog or equivalent observability experience at scale.
• Strong communication skills for technical, cross-functional audiences and proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
