Senior Services & Commissioning Manager

Location: Predominantly based at data centres in Sydney, Australia, with occasional interstate and overseas travel.

What you will do

• Lead building services and commissioning activities across multiple Sydney data centre projects through completion and handover.
• Lead internal and external commissioning teams and coordinate General Contractors, suppliers, commissioning agents, consultants, and customers.
• Review MEP, DCS, ICT, security, and other services designs for compliance, commissioning readiness, and operational performance.
• Plan commissioning schedules, oversee factory testing, manage technical issues and contractor defects, and lead root cause analysis.
• Maintain commissioning governance, safety, environmental, quality, and global best-practice standards.
• Coordinate handover with Operations, including MOPS, O&M manuals, and training submissions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a commissioning manager lead for a data centre provider or as a commissioning agent leading complex data centre handovers.
• Experience commissioning live, operational data centres.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary building services design, construction, and commissioning processes.
• Experience working with data centre MEP suppliers, contractors, and commissioning agents across APAC.
• Leadership, communication, decision-making, and accountability skills for multidisciplinary teams across multiple geographies.
• Willingness to travel to other APAC regions.
