Mechanical Engineer - Building Services (HVAC)

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; hybrid work model. Australian Citizenship is required, and newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality, cost-effective mechanical and HVAC design work across projects of varying size, scope, and sector.
• Lead mechanical design and delivery for major client projects.
• Participate in technical reviews and interdisciplinary coordination of project deliverables.
• Review design calculations and drawings for quality control.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers across local and national teams.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, client relationships, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Current RPEQ/RPEV registration and Chartership, or active progress toward Chartership.
• At least 4 years of mechanical design experience in a Building Services consultancy, or significant experience as a Senior Mechanical Services Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical engineering design in a technical design-focused role.
• Demonstrated experience delivering building projects in Australia or New Zealand.
• Australian Citizenship is required; previous or current defence clearance is highly regarded.
