What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, designers, and drafters within the WA Building Services team.
• Provide technical leadership across complex building, transport, defence, and infrastructure projects.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering work packages against scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Prepare, review, and verify engineering designs, calculations, reports, models, and technical specifications.
• Manage project and proposal budgets and coordinate clients, authorities, suppliers, and subconsultants.
• Support proposals, business development, continuous improvement, engineering governance, and quality management.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience leading and managing engineering professionals and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Extensive consulting, design, project delivery, or technical engineering experience in infrastructure, buildings, or related sectors.
• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status, CPEng, RPEQ, or equivalent, or the ability and willingness to obtain it within six months.
• Strong capabilities in project management, engineering calculations, modelling, technical analysis, design review, stakeholder management, and communication.
• Commitment to mentoring junior and mid-career engineers and developing high-performing teams.
