Data Centre Field Service Technician

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, install, and repair mechanical, electrical, fibre-network, and ancillary systems.
• Diagnose faults, reset circuits and pumps, replace faulty equipment, and escalate complex technical issues.
• Support HyperCube installations, commissioning, testing, fluid fill and drain operations, and load-bank installation and removal.
• Assist with network cabling, equipment integration, site operations, and maintaining site cleanliness.
• Provide technical updates to project and operations teams while maintaining service records, equipment logs, inventory, and quality checks.
• Follow OHS requirements and maintain PPE, first-aid kits, and eyewash stations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Diploma or equivalent, technical certification, or trade qualification.
• Familiarity with fibre hygiene and fibre-network testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems, communicate effectively, work independently, and work under direction as part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as part of a 24/7 operating roster.
• Unrestricted driver’s licence required; an electrical licence is required for electrical staff.
