What you will do

• Support outpatient behavioral health interventions under the supervision of licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric nurses.
• Conduct patient intakes, interviews, observations, counseling, and prescribed individual or group therapy sessions.
• Assist with psychiatric, drug and alcohol patient care, psychological and psychophysiological testing, data collection, and report preparation.
• Maintain clinical records, databases, attendance rosters, statistical reports, competency folders, resource libraries, and appointment templates.
• Coordinate case review meetings, agendas, attendance, family-support organization interfaces, and communications regarding appointments.
• Support program operations through process improvement recommendations, budget reviews, inventory management, and information for presentations.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Secret or Top Secret clearance is required, or the ability to obtain one.
• Associate degree or comparable military or other training as a psychiatric or mental health technician; military training must be in a mental health technician or specialist role.
• At least three years of experience as a psychiatric technician.
• Must complete psychiatric technician training, including psychology and social work fundamentals, conflict management, crisis de-escalation, and intervention with agitated, violent, potentially violent, or suicidal patients.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
