Location: Irvine, California, USA; travel approximately 20% of the time

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year plus a 10% bonus

What you will do

  • Manage building-envelope projects involving below-grade construction, exterior walls, and roofing for new and existing structures.
  • Track project scope, budgets, schedules, deliverables, billing, and resource needs with project managers and principals.
  • Lead meetings with internal teams, construction managers, subcontractors, design consultants, and owners.
  • Prepare written reports, project documentation, architectural sketches, and building-envelope analyses.
  • Maintain knowledge of local building codes, assess technical needs, and resolve complex project issues.
  • Manage and mentor field services staff, while supporting proposals, business development, seminars, and industry outreach.

Requirements

  • Registered Architect or Professional Engineer status required in California.
  • 5–10 years of building-envelope project experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and produce detailed technical documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, Microsoft Suite proficiency, and the ability to work independently and in a dynamic team.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, manage details and broader project priorities, and travel approximately 20% of the time.
