Location: Austin, Texas and surrounding Central Texas communities; candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship. is currently unable to hire employees residing in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Puerto Rico. Candidates willing to relocate should indicate this in their application.
Base compensation: $115,000–$135,000, based on skills and experience.

What you will do
- Lead municipal architectural projects and project teams from visioning and planning through design and implementation.
- Build long-term relationships with municipal agencies, local governments, and selected private-sector clients.
- Drive business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and presenting municipal architecture services.
- Coordinate communication among clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Expand ’s Architecture Practice and strengthen its presence in the Central Texas municipal market.
- Mentor emerging professionals and represent at conferences, industry events, and professional organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- Licensed Architect in Texas or able to obtain Texas licensure through reciprocity.
- Proven experience managing municipal architectural projects and leading project teams.
- Strong business management, networking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Established relationships within the municipal, public-sector, or civic development market.
- Ability to travel by car for client meetings, project site visits, team collaboration, and business development.
Nice to have
- At least 15 years of experience in municipal project design and execution.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, project financial metrics, profitability, and resource planning.
- Experience with civic, public safety, public works, operations, transportation, or other community-serving facilities.
- NCARB Certification and ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
