Salary: $26.00–$51.00 per hour, plus possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, fixtures, assets, and commercial food equipment.
• Diagnose issues by inspecting, operating, and testing equipment and fixtures.
• Service equipment including ovens, slicers, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, rotisserie ovens, bakery equipment, and grease and oil systems.
• Use work-order management systems to receive reactive repair requests and document completed work.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and complete required safety training.
• Train store associates on equipment care and cleaning to reduce misuse, damage, and food-safety risks.

Requirements

• Must work onsite at the Naugatuck, Connecticut store.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical certification and relevant experience, or four years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material-handling equipment, or a related trade.
• Relevant city or state trade license, where required.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, use ladders, work at heights and in varied temperatures, and stand or sit for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Experience in mechanical maintenance, construction, commercial HVAC/R, or building controls.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office productivity software.
