Senior Facilities Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Mojave Test Site, Mojave, California, United States. This is a full-time, onsite position. Overtime and weekend work may be required to support critical mission milestones.

Salary: $37–$52 per hour in California.

What you will do

• Schedule and perform routine building maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and related facility systems.
• Complete break/fix repairs, including painting, wall and ceiling repairs, furniture and equipment assembly, and carpet and tile installation.
• Manage facilities contractors and conduct job walk-downs with vendors, engineers, supervisors, and managers.
• Track maintenance activities in the Facilities CMMS system.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• At least 4 years of facilities and/or maintenance experience.
• Valid California driver’s license required.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export control rules or be eligible for deemed export licensing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform physical work involving standing, climbing, bending, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends when required.

Nice to have

• Facilities experience in the aerospace industry.
• Experience with construction, project management, equipment maintenance, and tenant improvements.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/R, concrete, framing, industrial gas systems, engineering, and construction principles.
• Experience reading instructions and blueprints, using industrial air fittings, and operating forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, hoists, and fall protection equipment.
