Environmental Project Manager

Location: Hybrid work in Albany, North Syracuse, Utica, Poughkeepsie, or Glens Falls, New York, United States

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and work location.

What you will do

• Manage an Article VII electric transmission line project from final permitting through construction.
• Oversee contract management, project changes, client relationships, budgets, invoicing, and change orders.
• Lead the environmental inspection team, including coverage logistics and project-specific support.
• Conduct field reviews and periodic site audits with the monitoring team to verify compliance.
• Manage schedules through proactive planning, critical-path issue identification, and mitigation.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• BS or BA in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in environmental project management and/or construction-site monitoring.
• Ability to review, edit, and provide QA/QC for project deliverables.
• Experience with cost estimating and project proposals.
• Self-sufficient, self-motivated, organized, and comfortable representing the firm with clients.
• Knowledge of New York local, state, and federal regulations is a plus.
