Consultant, Software Engineer - Tech Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid schedule in the Columbus, Ohio office on Wednesday and Thursday

Salary: $118,000–$222,000 national annual range; expected starting salary range of $118,000–$178,000

What you will do

• Lead the delivery of secure, high-quality software and systems solutions for hirify.global Financial Technology Annuity.
• Set technical direction and provide strategic advice on technology adoption and implementation.
• Champion AI adoption across job groups and build agents for mainframe and non-mainframe systems.
• Lead API and microservices application development using modern engineering practices.
• Mentor and train team members on design techniques, tools, coding standards, and DevSecOps practices.
• Coordinate execution across multiple teams and manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Requirements

• Six years of experience in programming and systems analysis.
• Hands-on technical leadership experience, including leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and ability to solve sophisticated business and development problems.
• Experience with secure software engineering, APIs, microservices, and DevSecOps practices.
• Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or a related field are strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Three years of project management experience.
• Experience with Apigee, OAS, API design, AWS, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.
• Insurance or financial services industry knowledge.
