Senior Engineer - Quality Assurance Engineer (CXD) (Automotive Connected Services)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States. The role requires up to 10% travel and the ability to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead the evaluation and launch of next-generation multimedia, telematics, and connected services products.
• Define technical requirements, review system architecture, and ensure software quality.
• Manage product evaluation across planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, launch, and post-launch support.
• Coordinate with North American teams, global stakeholders, suppliers, and external vendors.
• Investigate root causes, implement corrective actions, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement.
• Benchmark industry trends, competitive products, and customer feedback to inform future product strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 6 years of experience with multimedia systems, telematics products, connected services, or related automotive technologies.
• Automotive industry experience focused on connected services, telematics platforms, or multimedia products.
• Experience creating technical requirements, functional specifications, architecture documentation, or system-level designs.
• Experience delivering products through the full product development lifecycle and working with suppliers or external vendors.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without hirify.global visa or work authorization sponsorship now or in the future. An acceptable motor vehicle record is also required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with automotive telematics, connected services, multimedia platforms, or digital customer experiences.
• Experience with API integrations, web services, Linux, UNIX, macOS, AWS, Azure, or comparable platforms.
• Programming experience with Java, C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, C++, SQL, Swift, Android, or Cocoa Touch.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Six Sigma, ACP, APMG, or DSDM.
