TL;DR

Location: Hickory, North Carolina, United States; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

  • Investigate customer quality concerns and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams and suppliers to improve product and process quality.
  • Manage environmental compliance, responsible sourcing programs, supplier documentation, and material declarations.
  • Coordinate material and product testing with external laboratories and maintain related records.
  • Support, maintain, and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including internal and supplier audits.
  • Apply SPC, MSA, process capability studies, sampling plans, quality data analysis, and precision inspection methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 0–2 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, process engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, interpret technical information, and create clear documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

  • Experience with fiber optic products, cable assemblies, connectors, or related technologies.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, process improvement, SPC, DOE, or quality metrics.
  • Experience with metrology, precision inspection equipment, ISO 9001, internal or supplier audits, ERP, CAD, or quality data management tools.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance, responsible sourcing, and material regulatory requirements.
