Quality Engineer-CPT (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in San Luis Potosi, Mexico; available to rotate shifts.

What you will do

• Evaluate supplier parts across different commodities and assess acceptance against quality standards.
• Perform inspections, product and process audits, and validate quality incidents affecting other plants.
• Record non-conforming materials and collect statistical data on failures, defects, and quality issues.
• Implement containment actions and create approved orders for sorting or rework.
• Apply problem-solving tools, deploy corrective actions, and track activities against ticket scopes and KPI targets.
• Participate actively in regular quality meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry, quality, quality systems, quality assurance, or manufacturing.
• Experience with product and process audits according to VDA, IATF 16949, and/or ISO 9001 standards.
• Knowledge of non-conforming processes, material management, quality tools, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; SAP experience is desirable.
• Conversational-level English required; availability to rotate shifts.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GD&T.
• ISO 19011 quality auditor certification.
• SAP experience.
