Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

Location: Onsite at 3911 Bienville Blvd, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, United States

Hourly wage: $26.00–$51.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, repairs, and replacement assessments for facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, contractor documentation, expense information, parts orders, purchases, warranty claims, and maintenance invoices.
• Operate, inspect, and maneuver forklifts, material handling equipment, industrial machines, vehicles, and other heavy machinery.
• Identify unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, wear, deficiencies, and hazards, then take corrective action or escalate issues.
• Maintain company vehicles, coordinate required servicing, verify insurance coverage, and safely transport equipment between facilities.
• Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, contractors, and business partners to complete quality work on schedule and in compliance with standards.

Requirements

• Vocational or technical certification plus 2 years of experience in plumbing, electrical work, material handling equipment, or a related area, or 4 years of related experience.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions in the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations and no preventable commercial vehicle accidents in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and powered equipment in accordance with training, certification, and safety requirements.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical trade program.
• Related trade license in the city or state where the job is located.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office productivity software.
