Senior Global Supply Manager, Machining (Aerospace)

Salary: $118,000–$178,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead sourcing and supplier management for custom machined components and major vehicle structures.
• Develop supply chain strategies covering supplier selection, long-term agreements, and capacity planning for Terran R build schedules.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain Planning to improve manufacturability and align procurement with program milestones.
• Drive supplier performance through risk management, contract negotiations, KPIs, recovery plans, and milestone tracking.
• Mentor team members and build expertise in precision machining processes and supplier development.
• Act as a thought leader for machining commodities and improve sourcing processes, supplier health, and program readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement.
• Experience managing suppliers for complex aerospace or advanced manufacturing commodities.
• Experience negotiating contracts, managing milestone-based agreements, and improving supplier performance.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as LN, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, 5-axis milling, turning, precision grinding, EDM, tight-tolerance fabrication, AS9100, NADCAP, supplier qualification, and audit processes.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.
• New Product Development or New Product Introduction supply chain experience in aerospace or frontier technology.
