3PL Warehousing Category Manager (Logistics)

Location: Davidson, North Carolina, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $80,243.33–$129,400.00; incentive eligible

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing and commercial strategies for 3PL warehousing, shuttle operations, yard management, and distribution services across North America and EMEA.
• Lead RFIs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, bid analysis, negotiations, award recommendations, and preferred-provider programs.
• Manage strategic relationships with 3PL providers, including performance metrics, quarterly business reviews, contract renewals, amendments, and supplier accountability.
• Build scenario analyses and business cases for new implementations, contract renewals, network changes, and warehouse solutions.
• Coordinate transitions between 3PL providers and internal business units while improving material flow, distribution networks, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Materials, Distribution, Sales, Real Estate, Legal, Risk Management, EHS, and Commodity Management stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, logistics, warehousing, transportation, supplier management, or related commercial roles.
• Experience leading sourcing events, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.
• Experience developing business cases, analyzing costs and budgets, and making data-driven recommendations.
• Experience working across North America and EMEA, with strong cross-cultural communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Working knowledge of warehousing and distribution operations, including material flow, process design, performance metrics, material handling, automation, and logistics networks; advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

• Experience with Dataiku or similar analytics tools.
