Finance Manager

Location: New York City; onsite five days a week in the NYC office

What you will do

• Own accounting operations end to end, including monthly close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial statement accuracy.
• Build repeatable invoicing and billing processes for pharmaceutical brand clients and manage collections, aging reports, payment terms, and overdue-account escalations.
• Run payroll, coordinate benefits administration, and manage tax and regulatory compliance filings across operating jurisdictions.
• Build and maintain three-statement models, cash-flow forecasts, burn and runway tracking, budgeting, and board reporting packages.
• Implement expense policies, financial controls, approval workflows, documentation standards, and the finance tooling stack.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, outside accounting and tax providers, and support fundraise-related financial diligence.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally including banking or strategic finance and an early-stage startup environment.
• Ability to independently build and maintain a three-statement financial model and board-ready reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, payroll compliance, and financial controls.
• Hands-on approach to reconciliations, policy writing, monthly close, and operational execution.
• Organized, reliable, detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced, in-person startup setting.
