Financial Operations Lead

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 estimated annual base salary plus equity

hirify.global is a rapidly growing startup building an AI platform for intellectual property, covering invention harvesting, patent generation, litigation, and licensing.

What you will do

• Own accounts payable, supplier payments, approval workflows, invoice accuracy, and vendor negotiations.
• Manage customer invoicing and collections across more than 1,000 law firm and enterprise clients.
• Run the monthly close with external accountants and maintain financial metrics and reporting for leadership, the board, and investors.
• Design the finance stack, including procurement, spend management, billing, approvals, and automation with AI.
• Build budgets, approval processes, financial models, and analysis for hiring, offices, marketing, leases, and acquisitions.
• Manage international finance across three countries, including cash and treasury, office expansion, transfer pricing, and international tax.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in finance or finance-heavy operations at high-growth technology companies.
• Deep accounting knowledge and the ability to manage external accountants through an accurate, timely monthly close.
• Experience implementing finance processes, tooling, and automation in a fast-growing company.
• Strong financial modelling skills covering budgets, forecasts, P&L, and cash.
• Exceptionally clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work on-site in London.

Nice to have

• Experience as a first or early finance hire, or as a senior finance team member in a scaling startup.
• Procurement, vendor negotiation, treasury, or multi-entity international finance experience.
• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification, or a strong accounting foundation from banking, consulting, or venture capital.
• STEM or quantitative degree and basic coding ability.
• Experience with modern finance systems and AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or Gemini.
