What you will do
- Own and scale the finance function, including GAAP and management reporting.
- Lead month-end close and manage tax reporting, filings, and R&D credits.
- Establish procurement, internal controls, and manage accounts payable/receivable.
- Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash planning to track burn and runway.
- Develop unit economics and cost structure analysis for machines and operations.
- Support fundraising, investor diligence, and non-dilutive financing execution.
Requirements
- 3 to 7 years of experience in high-ownership finance roles (startup, Big 4, or investment banking).
- Strong GAAP accounting and month-end close expertise.
- Proficiency in three-statement modeling and cash forecasting.
- Ability to build finance processes from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Austin, TX.
- Must be willing to work extended hours or weekends during close cycles or fundraising deadlines.
