Accounting & Finance Manager (AI)

Location: South San Francisco, SF Bay Area; in-person

hirify.global develops robotic systems with AI that autonomously perform labor-intensive tasks, verification, and planning on construction sites, starting with large-scale solar infrastructure.

What you will do

• Lead accounting operations, including chart of accounts management, general ledger, revenue recognition, and month-end close.
• Oversee tax registrations, filings, payments, billing, accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, reimbursements, and procurement.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, board materials, and investor reporting.
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, budget-to-actuals analysis, operating metrics, scenario planning, and ad hoc analyses.
• Design and maintain internal controls, expense policies, audit-traceable processes, and finance infrastructure.
• Improve accounting and treasury systems, manage integrations, and automate repeatable finance processes with AI tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience with a strong accounting foundation.
• Experience preparing financial statements and developing budgets.
• Experience with hardware and equipment accounting.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including financial modeling and data manipulation.
• Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks Online experience is a strong plus.
• Startup experience or the ability to work effectively in an early-stage environment, plus demonstrated interest in applying AI tools to finance.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward certification.
• Experience with Mercury, Ramp, or other spend-management platforms.
• Experience communicating financial information to non-finance audiences and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Hands-on experience building AI-assisted automations for finance or accounting.
