Clinical Pharmacist-Emergency Medicine, Full-time Overnights

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, Illinois, United States; full-time overnight shift on a 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule

Salary: USD 58–84.10 per hour

What you will do

• Interpret medication orders and identify, prevent, and resolve medication-related problems, including allergies, interactions, duplications, and administration errors.
• Monitor medication therapy, laboratory results, pharmacokinetic parameters, adverse reactions, and therapeutic drug monitoring programs.
• Provide medication information, education, and clinical consultation to physicians, nurses, patients, families, students, residents, and fellows.
• Process medication orders in the electronic health record and maintain comprehensive pharmacy patient profiles.
• Compound, verify, package, label, dispense, and distribute pharmaceuticals, including sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition.
• Respond to emergencies, oversee controlled medication inventories and automated dispensing cabinets, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.
• Active clinical pharmacist license in the state of Illinois through IDFPR.
• Ability to communicate professional knowledge effectively in oral and written form.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work within time constraints and collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• Ability to work full-time overnight shifts on a regular 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule.

Nice to have

• Training or knowledge in specialty areas such as neonatology, critical care, or oncology.
• Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent hospital pharmacy experience.
