Location: East Farmingdale, New York, United States

Salary: $125,300–$150,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead a cross-functional Defense Valves product line covering program administration, engineering, quality, planning, procurement, and production control.
  • Own business results, including 20% of the business unit’s annual P&L, sales bookings, operational income, cash flow, working capital, and return on sales.
  • Manage program documentation, sales plans, delivery reports, project schedules, budgets, and financial metrics.
  • Develop and monitor contingency and recovery plans based on project performance and identified risks.
  • Support RFQs and ITBs, bid/no-bid decisions, commercial reviews, and customer interfaces such as audits, inspections, and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate with sourcing and suppliers to secure materials, support warranty projects, and travel periodically to customer and supplier sites.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Five years of program management experience, with familiarity with technical and engineering specifications and procedures.
  • Experience developing and managing detailed program budgets, reporting financial results to senior management, and applying strong financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems, risk management, manufacturing processes, and high-complexity product lines.
  • Prior engineering or operations experience combined with current program management experience, strong customer relationship skills, and analytical problem-solving ability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting information to diverse internal and external audiences.

Nice to have

  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with MS Project, Oracle ERP, or mainframe applications.
  • Experience overseeing Navy programs.
