HSE Specialist - CDM Delivery

What you will do

• Provide CDM support across bids, projects, and programmes.
• Identify CDM requirements during bids and mobilisation, advise on delivery approaches, and determine the appropriate level of support.
• Help duty holders and project teams fulfil CDM responsibilities covering planning, design risk management, coordination, and delivery.
• Lead complex, unusual, higher-risk, or customer-sensitive CDM matters.
• Support teams in resolving technical and regulatory challenges.

Requirements

• Strong practical knowledge of CDM and its application in project delivery.
• Experience supporting project teams, duty holders, delivery stakeholders, and complex or higher-risk project environments.
• Ability to provide clear, technically credible, proportionate advice and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written communication and document review skills, with confidence working with customers and senior stakeholders.
• NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health and Safety, or an equivalent Level 6 HSE qualification.

Nice to have

• Association for Project Safety membership.
• SMSTS qualification or equivalent construction management training.
• Project management qualification or demonstrable project management experience.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting less experienced colleagues.
