EHS Manager (Construction)

What you will do

• Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management systems for a large-scale data center construction project.
• Lead safety inductions, training programs, toolbox talks, and behavioral safety initiatives.
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Oversee permit-to-work systems, high-risk activity controls, emergency response planning, and crisis management procedures.
• Coordinate HSE performance with contractors, site management, client representatives, and regulatory authorities.
• Manage environmental aspects, waste management, sustainability activities, HSE reporting, KPIs, and regulatory submissions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of HSE management experience on major construction projects.
• Professional HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, or CMIOSH.
• Extensive knowledge of Belgian and EU safety legislation and standards.
• Experience with large-scale construction projects valued at €100M or more.
• Strong knowledge of construction hazards, risk management, incident investigation, regulatory compliance, and data center safety requirements.
• Fluent English and strong leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center or other mission-critical facility projects.
• Local language skills.
