Application Engineer (Optoelectronics)

Location: Shanghai, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech, China; primarily based at hirify.global offices with customer-premises visits and travel required.

What you will do

• Support customer design wins and help Tier 1 customers bring products to market successfully.
• Become an expert in high-speed EML/PD and CW DFB technologies used in AI and datacenter segments.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support through email, phone, and customer visits.
• Analyze customer architectures and requirements and debug complex technical issues.
• Interface with customers and Field Applications Engineers to support pre-sales activities and finished-product launches.
• Collaborate with development, production engineering, quality, sales, marketing, and field applications engineering teams on product definition and roadmap activities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Optoelectronics with 10+ years of related experience, or a PhD with 7+ years of related experience.
• Background in optoelectronics, component physics, and technical applications engineering.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for customer interaction and support.
• Ability to travel to customer premises as required.
