Senior Engineer, Field Applications (Optical)

Location: Shanghai, China; regular customer-site support and travel required

What you will do

• Provide local technical support to optical module customers in East China and represent hirify.global with customer management.
• Recommend suitable optical, power, TVS, and communication solutions to support business growth.
• Review customer schematics and PCB layouts and help resolve technical issues onsite.
• Work with applications engineering, QA, sales, distributors, and end customers to resolve technical and quality issues.
• Train distributor FAEs and customer engineers on new products and solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hardware R&D or applications engineering experience in optical modules or the semiconductor industry.
• BSEE or MSEE degree.
• Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, optical chips, and optical assembly fundamentals.
• Experience with high-speed schematics and PCB design, including independent schematic and PCB layout reviews.
• Basic knowledge of firmware and GUI execution flows.
• Good command of spoken and written English; willingness to travel and provide onsite customer support.

Nice to have

• DSP-related application experience.
• Familiarity with hirify.global products and competitors' products.
• Basic knowledge of IC design, manufacturing, testing, and storage.
• Experience with analog, digital, and MCU circuit design.
